...Loango National Park covers 155,000 hectares bordering the Atlantic Ocean. This park is an extraordinary and complex mosaic of deeply intertwined environments: beaches, large and small lagoons, mangroves, salt meadows, swamps, savannahs and forests. This ecosystem is particularly rare and its exceptional character is accentuated by the fact that it has been remarkably well preserved.
Elephants, hippopotamuses, crocodiles and buffaloes circulate peacefully, but also whales and dolphins. Sea turtles climb out of the water to lay their eggs in the sand.
Loango Park is also home to the unique Akaka Forest, a majestic marshy forest rich in plant and animal species.
Loango is the best place in tropical Africa to practice sport fishing both at sea and in the lagoons.
